Private gig in the heat

Outdoor gig with only half the stage in the shade. With our normal lineup I was in the sun the whole 4 hours. It was a member’s only gig at a golf club after a club tournament. I had a new Fender stage monitor I picked up on an Amazon warehouse deal. It had obviously been opened but not a scratch on it and it didn’t miss a beat spending the whole gig in 33 degree, 91 US, sun. It was so hot it almost burned my hand loading out.

I see you missed the memo on wearing shorts :rolf:
I never wear shorts on a gig. The other guys were sweating like crazy in shorts and t-shirts, too much exposed skin and the fabric doesn’t breathe. My loose cotton shirt and linen pants not only looked cool but they helped me to stay cooler. The hat also gave my ears some sunburn protection unlike the baseball hats. Dress cool to stay cool. :)
