OK so I watched the video below and a lot of what this gentleman says makes good sense to me.
So I plan to take my '68 reissue Princeton Reverb and do a lot of the changes he does in the video.

I know there are several people on here with some Fender RI style amps. I do believe the video has PLENTY of good information.

I say do what makes ya happy. What i do wonder about is ,ive been around Fender amps my whole life thanks to my Father but ive never seen a Blue power jewel before . Damn learn somethin new all the time.
There was a amp repair guy back in Jacksonville who would change the lamp lens on all the units he worked on to GREEN. It was his trade mark. This may be the same thing here.

I would not follow Psionic, it really doesn't impress me as being very experienced.

I would use Fromel instead, the mods are better thought out and make a bigger improvement.

1. The stock filter caps are not very good, and I would go with F&T.
2. I would go for a good speaker right away.

1973-'74, I played bass in a band where each of the guitarists used a blackface Bassman.
One of them had a purple pilot light jewel; that was really exotic back then.
We all thought it was just about the coolest thing we'd ever seen on an amp.
