When I saw this I was like, what the hell are you doing Gibson? *Yeah, it's all about the $$$* This thing is wrong on so many levels.....IMHO, first off. it's not even a proper Firebird headstock and second, you don't put non proper style headstock on an Explorer, period! The 70's Tribute Humbuckers are nothing more than Burstbuckers *not a fan* with gold pole pieces and lastly, It's RED! Also, how many Lzzy Hale signature guitars do we really need? $ 2799.00? I'll pass.

Yeah, agreed pretty much. I forgot to vote….done now…with a no thank you.

I was hoping for the white and gold color scheme like her other signature model.

Although I wouldn't buy it, I do like it. Having the Firebird headstock keeps the strings straight from the nut to the tuner. Definitely a plus for function.

As for Lzzy herself, she rawks! She is a great role model for young girls wanting to pick up a guitar, rock out, and start a band. Gibson will do what it takes to get her name on a signature model. It's quite refreshing to see someone's name other than Bonamassa on a Gibson model. Gibson knows they need to answer to Music Man and their St. Vincent models. Annie Clark (St. Vincent) is another young woman who is selling records, and making girls want to pick up a guitar and start a band. And then Fender has been featuring young women (especially minorities) in all of their advertising. I rarely see an email from Fender without a young woman playing a guitar. Kudos for Gibson trying to do something for modern audiences and customers. Another old white guy signature model isn't going to gain them any new customers. Even Lzzy will say how terrible a waitress she was when she was 16, but saved all her tips to get a tobacco sunburst Les Paul Custom. She's the kind of person they need in their ranks.

Ouch! I didn't see the $2799.00 part. They need to be more realistic on pricing that. Especially if they want younger people to be able to buy it.

Eh...it works I guess lol i dont see any standout differences than a regular Explorer other than the Firebird headstock. I guess if you hated the hockeystick, this is another option?

Personally, I love the hockey stick on an Explorer because it goes with the theme of the body: a horizontal "flying" body shape ( the V is a vertical flying shape, like a rocket taking off). And I happen to love Firebirds too by the way.

This is putting a hat on a hat I guess lol

Have you seen the Gibson TV commercial that Lzzy does for the guitar? It is worth a 'Yes" vote whether you like the guitar or not!
She looks a bit too much like my sister, otherwise I would agree, big time.

Wait....does that mean I just said I think my sister is hot?? I think Lzzy is hot, but I think my sister's just my sister. But Lzzy and my sister look alike. And Lzzy is hot, but my sister isn't.

Great. Now I'm good and confused again.

I gotta go.

I dig Lzzy for sure. The guitar... Well it'd be better with an actual Firebird headstock instead of just the suggestion of one.
And real Steinberger banjo tuners. And if it weren't red (red sure looks good on Lzzy though).

At the price, nope.

I sure wish they'd build another batch of her original sig model.
That was a high class Explorer.
