Best, economical way to transport a 100 watt head these days?

Might be going out of state to jam with some friends several times over the summer/fall and will be taking my JCA100HDM along for the ride. Since I'm no longer the 20/30 year old would didn't think to care if my head got damaged being stuffed into a vehicle with a pile of other gear, I never had anything to protect my old amps.

My first thought on this was to look at an anvil case, but since they're hundreds of dollars that idea went out the window. Next up, I defaulted to the padded cardboard shipping box concept. Then I saw an amp head gig bag for sale and thought that might be a great answer.

Anyone have any recommendations for something that's in the $100 or less range? Or, should I just stick with the padded cardboard box cause I'm overthinking this... (I am in a band with @LiveeviL2000 so his overthinking is infecting @Ramo and I...)

I generally stand my amp heads up in the front seat, on end, heavy side down, then run the seat belt through the handle and around the cabinet. I've transported like this from Los Angeles to Petaluma for session work without any problems.

Anvil Case is great of course, as is the bag. But, IMHO, being secured with a safety belt is the most important thing.

A cheap option is wrapping it securely with a moving blanket (40in x 50in or 40in x 72in for extra layering) and a flat stretchable bungee cord ( Smart Straps). The blankets are usually about 1/2 to 3/4 in thick poly/cotton and can sustain lots of physical damages, strong enough to protect furniture during moving trips.

You can find the blankets for about $5-18 at any Harbor Freight or major hardware store and the cords are at any major hardware store such as Lowes/Home Depot/Rural King/Tractor Supply for about $5-8.

@Iron1
You are overthinking it. And that’s ME saying that!!!
Here is what you need.
Is sturdy and has multiple applications

You mean, I shouldn't do as you do, not do as you say?

What @LiveeviL2000 uses to transport band gear:

Yeah, just toss a blanket over it/wrap it. Don't set it on top of anything. If it's on the bottom it can't fall anywhere. I like to situate it in between things somewhat snugly so it's can't roll anywhere either, should you find the need to corner like a madman at a hundred miles an hour or whatever

Are you referring to the amp or the wiener?
Because what you just said applies to both.

I suppose, for me, the easiest way to transport a 100 watt head would be to use any of the many models found in Bias FX2 loaded onto my laptop computer. In fact, I could probably transport a few dozen amps, plus effects, simultaneously in a single laptop case that way!

But, that’s just me.
