Well boys and girls...

Just set the bones....which hurt like nothing I've felt before. This will require 2 or 3 surgeries and I go under the knife in a few hours.

Thanks fellas. But I really don't think I can make it to Mastodon.
I’ve experienced similar to what you are going through…same leg(by the pictures)…you will be down for a bit. I had no broken bones though…just the torn up, mangled, knee joint. I played a gig a couple of weeks after, but I was a passenger for the drive, and rode a bar stool for the show.

I was really really looking forward to that show. Mastodon is one of my favorite bands, Opeth is going to be there, and Khemmis. All good bands. And I've been itching to go out and see some live music.

But now, I'll be immobile for 3 months and on crutches or a walker for some time.

FML

Opeth is curiously missing a guitarist...

My wife recently did something that caused her kneecap to shift laterally. It hurt major big time.

They have her wearing an ortho brace now, but said surgery wasn't needed.

Sorry to hear this McBlink. Don't be too hard on yourself. Crap happens. People get hurt walking to the store, the bathroom, whatever. You were just being you, living your life.

If you can make the show, go. If not, don't sweat it as life is full of minor tragedies. The important part is that we get back up again.

Rock on brother
