Still deciding which direction to jump, pickup-wise. I love the clean look of a piezo system, but also the growl of a magnetic pickup. Right now, I have about half a dozen areas to address on the neck billet, but that's what keeps me from getting arrogant, lol. Every project is a group of lessons to be learned.
 
Since my band saw went toes up, I had to rely on my trusty b&d jigsaw to get the back of the neck profile and the taper from the neck/body joint to the headstock. Got the job accomplished, but even with a fairly steady hand, there's still a lot of sanding to be done, and hickory is a bear to sand and shape! Stay tuned!
