The Muse I Adorn

Used the 3 guitars at show yesterday (more on that later in another thread).
The Schecter having an FR stayed in excellent tune even as temp got hotter in there.
Gotta say, first gig with the Godin LG was awesome! Did the acoustic atuff, what very little there is, very well and the electric rocked!
Stayed in near perfect tune. Lighter than the LP. A beautiful player.
More to come tomorrow. Amp issues

This is why I have only 5 guitars, I have time to play each one of them on a continual rotational basis, My fav i play every day along with one of the other 4. This way they just don't sit around they get played.
Same here Norm. Currently, 4 electrics a bass and an acoustic. Once I get the Tele project finished, I’ll have one for each day of the week. That’ll do.

Channeling my inner Swede yesterday afternoon. I don’t play this one often enough.

Always wanted a Viking. My 1st LP style guitars were Swedes. My 1st one was a black Swede I put GFS style Filtertrons and the thing was awesome but you know if you feel like that over the base model the Select line must be amazing right? Nope:(

Been playing this one a lot lately & now the bridge pup is developing an on/off issue, so what I am debating is pulling the circuit board and bridge pup out of my Classic and slapping it in my Tribute & putting 50's wiring & new pups in the Classic. I really like the neck pup in the Tribute & the bridge in my Classic.

Maybe have a look at the switch first.

Finally got around to installing the Gretsch Filtertron in the bridge of the AS73.
Like it a lot so far.
Finally got around to converting the JCM800 micro from 12au7 to EF80 power section.
Like it a lot so far.

John thats a sweet guitar! any chance you will get another Filtertron for the neck? It sure looks mighty good in that guitar! Liken your amp too!

Roger that. Both the Viking and G400 will drop a pup once in awhile. I just do a crazy man switch flip for a few seconds and problem solved.
I tried to replace the switch on the G400 when I installed new pots. Ordered an SG kit. Apparently a legit SG has a control cavity a few MMs deeper because the new switch would not fit and I never got around to ordering a different style. So I'm going to use that switch in the Tele project guitar I've been working on forever.

Thanks Norm!

The neck is a worn looking Dimarzio PAF Pro I picked up used and cheap.
I like it a lot.

Funny, I had planned to swap the pots out to full size Alphas (it has the mini pots), but they work just fine.
I say funny since I have pulled out and fished the electronics back into that guitar 3 or 4 times now.

Its not hard, just takes a bit more time.

An old trick is to sand/file the contacts a little (Red circle). The contacts, just like points in an old car can get corroded and go high resistance. This switch is in my 81 The V and it looks like it could use some TLC. A nut file or a small piece of Emory cloth (220 grit) and a few swipes should clean them up.

Is that a scalloped fretboard?
Yes....partially....Blackmore style...it fades in from the high strings from 5th fret to 12th fret, and fades back down from 12th to 21st fret. The fade out is more visible in the above photo. It's a really great little rig. I played through the frets on the original neck.
edit: full scallop(all 6 strings) from 10th fret to 16th fret)...

So the LP did NOT stay in tune it seems! You are not alone!
