I dusted off my gear ... and I mean literally! I havent touched my guitars in a awhile.
I was in the mood to play it loud, so here is some junk I came up with.
I even broke out my Jackson for this ... @Ramo would be proud!

I used my Metal Zone on that one.
I don’t know why people hate that pedal so much.
I love it. It has so much gain on tap I barely have the knob at 9:00 and it sounds great to me.

Scarlett need to draw from your computer for power.
The one I have can draw from my iPhone. It’s great for my jam room.

I put my old distortion pedal back on my board tonight, running clean channels on different amps, having a hissy, feedback-rich good time!

These Manowars really like this type of tone I think!

Ha, love it! The zakk wylde/slaughtered pig squeal harmonics sound awesome!

And I think that Strat is great instrument,, it gets no case and it’s the easiest to pull off the rack stand..

Had a recent discovery, dovetailed with seeing a video from Fluff on not needing aftermarket pickups. So, I tossed together this blind test to see who prefers which pickups.

It's the same riff, played with two different sets of pickups in very similar guitars thru the exact same rigs. The first pass for both is with drums & bass, the second just drums, the third just guitars.

Which do you prefer? Do you hear any major differences?

Just using my phone speaker....
I prefer the 2nd of the 2 in the full mix and the naked mix. Liking the 1st example better with just drums.

Is there a touch of chorus in there? That will throw me off ha ha.

I think I know which is the hotter pickup but I'll won't guess until I can hear it in proper monitors.

I love comparison sound bytes by the way.... Love them.
