Been wanting to get a shot of these two together. Not too much of a PRS fan on the overall, but I really liked these two, genuinely. Both US made and both terrific examples of fine quality instruments for sure.

Feel free to share yours and any possible words to go with. Sort of a PRS moment we are having here, I guess.

@Sapient Nice axes! I really like that blue-ish!
…Well…not a USA model, but I bought it on a whim, because I liked it. A spring setup shot…

Wow, yours is nice and chunky like a Les Paul. The blue one is a little thin in that regard. I too bought that on a whim as it popped up and I just liked it. I bought used and got it dirt cheap for an American guitar. This was probably about 5, 6, 7, years ago. ?? I'm not sure what the story is on the Vela now, but it seems they couldn't be American made at their price-point anymore.

Thanks for posting yours up!

@Session 5 : Thanks, bro!!

2 beauties!

I am a PRS fan. I would bet that if you just had those 2 guitars, you would be ready for any situation

I agree - especially with all the push-pull, four-way switch factored options on the white one. Honestly, I never use that stuff though.

The blue one's bridge pickup was replaced with some mac daddy aged PRS vintage one by the previous owner. That guitar sounds just like a vintage LP.

Not being too much of a PRS guy, I only played the blue one once or twice at home and gigged it once. I love it, but haven't completely taken to it.

Interestingly, the white one is supposed to be my be all "just what I want these days" guitar. It's been doing fine; however, now I focus on trying to sing.

Both awesome specimens as you would know. :dood:

:H5:

Wonder where RVA's pics are. :(

I would LOVE to try a Fiore! HSS rocks!

Silver Sky is awesome though.

All 5 positions have a great voice, and that 7.25 radius is just fine. Amazing instrument. Would like to try a maple board version.

That is so f'n hot! I really dig that one too!

The maple board is COOL. I mean ...it looks COOL. I like ebony best thouugh it's all kinda neither here nor there to me with fretboards. They all have their appealing ways to me.

How about this thing 594 Soapbar. It screams

Even though the switching is simple, it covers a cr@pload of territory.
Beautiful axe. I love P90s. Having separate volume controls really gives a hugely broader spectrum of tone possibilities. Having been a longtime Les Paul guy, it's the one thing I miss most on typical PRSi and Fenders. Out of my 8 PRSi, the DGT is the only one with that capability. Would love to have a 594 someday.

Yeah, the 594 with humbuckers has push/pull tone pots to split the buckers as well. Lots to play with!
Cheers,

I'm completely head over heels for the 57/08s in one of my McCartys. Insanely great PAF types, and some of my very favorite pickups.
Super responsive, with a unique 3D quality that's hard to describe. The tone just sounds vintage; it's like looking at an old sepiatone photo.
I often say they just make me feel like drinking whiskey and playing the blues all night in some smoky club.
They also split very nicely indeed.
But they clean up so beautifully simply from rolling back the volume that I seldom pull the knob to split 'em.
