Here in Europe, it depends. Most doctors think most people know nothing of how the body works, and will take their time explaining in simple terms. Others, once you show that you have at least some technical knowledge, will then explain in detail (sometimes too much detail)...

I hope the world follows this example.

Do you mean 5 days into you doing the work yourself to remodel the kitchen? @SG John
Or are you having a contractor do the work?

PS. Try living 16+ years with no heat in a 120 year old house, or for that matter, a school bus up in JohnnyGoo territory during winter.
My red nose HOT Water Bottle of a Pit Bull was a pretty essential mate under the covers during those years.

Friends would come over and be there a minute or 2 and say, " Hey, Man it is cold in here, I can see my breath." At which time I would say, " Hey shut the front door, I don't want you to let all the heat IN!!!"

So anyway….I broke a fader on my control surface the other day. I was trying to clean two that were getting hung up occasionally….

Of course they’re not made anymore…but I found a couple on the bay of e. They arrived today, and I swapped them in….easy peasey….

Now the faders can do their calibration dance at start up again….
