SG is holy grail of GG :rolf:

@chilipeppermaniac lots of people love GG guitars not me and thats ok :victoire:

I know, Bro Ramo. I just can't figure out how an LP can be a GG and an ESP that looks the same is not. HAHA

Or a Gib V is a GG and yet a Dean V or Jackson V or other V's are not GG's LOL

Not only do I like what I now know are called GG guitars, but I also like the non GG edgy guitars like YOU and Zakk and his band mates are playing here, Even the cool looking Edgy Bass. Guess I just like guitars, period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dood:

Hey Ramo, is this a grandpa guitar?

My grandpa never played anything like that.

He played this:

He bought it in 1935 at Sears, for $25.
Today it's worth more than all of my gear combined lol
But it's worth more than that to me in sentimental value so it's not going anywhere.
Here's another picture of it, way back when grandpa was young.
He also played the harmonica, piano, and sang in a barbershop quartet. Grandma played the organ in their church, and sang in the choir.
If either of them were alive today, they'd be well over 100 years of age.

You know answer to that boi!

@chilipeppermaniac ESP has sharper edges, belly cut and in general looks more modern compared to GG Gibson LP,SG, V or radiocadters or tostercasters.

I even showed my boy Gibson and ESP side by side and asked him which he would pick? He didn’t disappoint and pointed at ESP… “parenting done right” lol

So, it's not a grandpa guitar then?
Phew! I was worried for a minute!

Here's a picture of my gramps a few months before he passed. I was barely 25. He's holding my first kid, she's going to be 16 soon. Also pictured behind is my dad.

And here's me playing it while still quite young. Still to this day, I despise being surprised by people with cameras.

@Ramo,

In my case, I don't have to pick side by side. I would buy em all, a GG or an Edgy. One purchase can be an LP, SG, Jackson, ESP/LTD, Dean, EPI, Ibanez, Yamaha, Godin, Warwick, Ernie Ball, Caster Caster, Schecter, etc. The only condition that makes any difference to me is how well it is built, how the guitar feels and plays, and finally, how it sounds. If I like all of these about a guitar, I will buy it.

My latest guitar (actually was my V Bass) just feels perfect in every respect. EPIPHONE got that instrument perfect.Schenker V 1.png
