Ive learned with "real" amps distortion & VOLUME hides a multitude of slop playing --- digital stereo "amps" accentuate EVERY SUBTLE screw up and unclean note change etc. ..I sucked before but ..... now I suck in stereo!

Try it with ping pong delay in stereo! TWICE the suck!

I guess I look at it like the beginning of this thread started out on a sad note, and like good friends should do, help the person who's distressed by trying to support them and make them feel better. Nothing like a good derail to take someone's mind off their troubles.

My first 2 guitars were acoustics. Bought in 73 & 74. Didn’t buy my first electric till 2009. I’ve had a bit of practice on them.

As a kid, my Mom had an Alavarez 12 String and this record album.



I learned most of the songs on this record, which was transparent red vinyl.

I just never felt the freedom that I felt on an electric, although I do love the sound.
