$100 Guitar

Personally, I prefer the blue from the OP. Never liked the "old" look of brown burst Strat... dunno why, but it just screams old man guitar to me.

Is that Costco? They've had some neat Fender acoustic package deals the last few years.

I would expect the trem to be crappy on the strat, and the nut as well.
Other than that, it looks to be a good value.

I have the Indio / Monoprice Tele.
I like it just fine.

The nut was the weak point, as I figured likely.
Made my first bone nut from a blank.
It didnt go exactly smoothly but in the end came out ok.

The tuners are usable but not great, but WAY better than the low end Epiphone or others I have experienced.
A little gear lash / slop but again, I've had worse.
I have a set of Musiclily Pro tuners I may swap in, but it stays in tune just fine.

The fretwork is at least ok; it could benefit from a fret dress, but nothing stands out as bad.
The end bevels were the typical, common sharp edges.
I may do a fret dress eventually just because I can.

The padded gig bag looks like the same as in the video.

I decided to go more directly Fenderish with the strat I got recently - used minty Squier Classic Vibe 50's.
Overall it is good, the nut sucked, but the fretwork was a bit worse than than the Monoprice tele.
I did the fret dress a month or so ago.
I wanted to avoid an all out mod platform. The trem is quite good, tuners and hardware ok, and I am quite happy with it.

I dig the (screams) OLD MAN Sunburst finish, cause well, I'm gettin' old. ;)
My clock ticked to 58 yesterday.

Looked it up on Amazon - now on sale for $89. Seems like it could be a great mod platform...
Got one a few years back on EBAY (remember them??) -- It was 48.00 TO THE DOOR BRAND NEW .......... it didnt suck.....(it wasnt stellar -- didnt make me SELL OFF all my others!)
set it up slapped an poorly mounted FENDER water slide decal on it -- sold it for 65.00 BUWAHAHAHA

it was by far and away better than some of the stuff that came from "Monkey Wards" back in "the day" however for ABOUT THE SAME DAMN PRICE !

I have 9 Teles and to be honest I'm not too fond of the built in ashtray. Never have been ...especially the deeper ones in vintage models.

I'm more of a "modern" Tele "dude" that likes the flat tray better. I love the vintage ones ..the necks, clay inlays, etc., it's just that ashtray. I believe it's the key element in "Radiocaster".
