Im going from 9s to 10s gauge strings.... i find it I play a lot better on 10s rhythm parts than I do on 9s... on 10 gauge string there is more meat to grab and its easier to play. going to change my Jacksons to 10s...

Try bending 50-105 bass strings baby....
I cant play anything smaller than 10's on guitar ..... 8's or 7's ( tried the Reverend Billy Gibons 7's ..... couldnt Feel the top 2 strings at all)

I have 10s on some for same reason but 9s on the shredders. Also some light top 9s and heavy bottoms.
i put 11's with heavy bottoms on my new Solar and I feel like there is so much tension, the neck is going to snap.
Change your g/b/e to .017/.013/.010

I used 9s for shredding but i found I can bend 10a just same as 9s so Im going to swap it… 9s feel too skinny now

Don’t mention string cookery…. @Robert Herndon will come and eat it all…. That guy eats strings like mad and he will devour cooked strings in seconds..I prefer 9s on my 6ers and 10s on my 7s. My basses have whatever size they came with, I never change 'em, just boil em once in awhile -

I liked the Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky's .009 x .046 and used them for years, but I was always breaking the high 'e' about midway down the string's length, so I recently changed to Ernie Ball Paradigm .010 x .046 and it's been fantastic.
They are a much brighter sounding string too.

I've been using D'Addario XLs since the early 90s and I almost never break strings. Every time I've tried a different brand, they don't last long before I'm back to the D'Addarios. My boss got me a set of Black Beauties that are supposed to come in this week he really wants me to try out, so maybe those will pull me away from D'Addario, but probably not.
