the cost of the GIBSON BURSTBUCKERS ...and the pots and caps and "custom" case
this (at retail) isnt a "bad" price

NO its not '59 gibbo for UNDER a grand -- your ods are better of winning the lottery than actually GETTING a 59 lester for 899.00

yes its "gimmick" guitar and yes JB gets a royalty ... but,,,,,,,,, its a decent guitar really for the $

It's not a bad axe for $900 considering a Gibson R9 is $5K-7K.
It's like we wonder how there can be a $4000+ difference between the 2.
What's the Gibson got that the Epi doesn't?
Gibson has:
chipped up paint, buckle rash, rusted screws, and scratches. (they call this "vintage original spec."), VOS.

As much as I would love an R9, I question why I would pay $5K for a beat up rusted guitar?

I like to keep my guitars looking new...ask @Sp8ctre who has a 1987 Squire that I gigged with for nearly 30 years. It's never been dropped and the back was always taped off.

My $3,000 Gibson Les Paul (strapped on) and my $169.00 Slash/AFD Replica in the background at our February27th NASCARshowat FontanaSpeedway. Borh are treated equally well.

Originally, I built the Slash/AFD as a way to have a 59-esque Les Paul (with all premium hardware) for bar playing without the huge pricetage of a R9, but it turned out to be such a great guitar that I started using it on a regular basis.

The Slash/AFD is the guitar everyone wants to play or take a photo with...
