Betty the Butcher...

Now if one was gonna go with the soap bar P90 you will be in for a lot more work. The dog ear style P90 is a hair wider i would guess than the soap bar and just the way it mounts is gonna hide alot of the butchering.I like that term hahaha.
This is true. If I would have known that there was a cavity size difference between a Dogear and a Soapbar, I would have paid a little extra for PGK to allow for the smaller cavity width of a Soapbar. I did install a Soapbar, but with the the tiny gaps on the sides and my OCD, it made me crudely fabricate a couple tiny mahogany shims.

Seems to fit well (in fact, provisionally, it seems to line up perfectly) on the faded which has 55mm between the pickups. The 24 fret tribute has the top pickup 5mm lower down and the bridge pickup in the same place, so only 50mm apart (I reckon I could make that fit too if I wanted to, and I might).

The stock Gibson hardware is good stuff so why the Tonepros ??? Not gonna be any more quality than the Gibby hardware plus you got to mess with allen screws.Or just throw those away like i do with the Tonepros set screw stuff.Makes things sound to damn ridgid for my liking.I like things a little more loosey goosey. :)

You putting Bare Knuckles in there, @Mr Grumpy? If you want to experiment with something else, I recommend the forum sponsor TysonTone, made by @Bobby. I dig the P90 I put in my Les Paul Junior.

I have a Bare Knuckle for the neck and a Tom Anderson P90 humbucker for the bridge.

I had the Bare Knuckle in the PRS for a while and it's very good, so I'm gonna stick with that. Thanks for the Tyson Tone suggestion, I'll probably get around to one before too long.
