NGD: Solar A2.6CAR

First new guitar in 12 years. I took the plunge and on a whim, ordered it from the website on Saturady. Monday I got a shipping notification that it was leaving the factory in Spain. I figured it was going to take forever to get to me. This thing FLEW through shipping. Got to me Wednesday afternoon. I've never seen anything shipped so fast.

My first Solar and probably not my last. The Candy Apple Red finish just sparkles like a hot rod. I've been wanting a red finished guitar and it's perfect. Feels great, has a nice fast neck on it too. I jammed with it for about two hours after it sat in my room acclimating for awhile. Sounds pretty good. Feels right and very comfortable. The pickups will be changed out though. It doesn't have the clarity like my Voodoo Customs. That's a minor detail. I'm thinking it's going to get some visual mods to match up to my 667 Pinhead. We'll see if I can make it work.

It was a B-Stock item, but the only thing wrong with it, are two Pinhead sized blemishes on the paint. Both on the back.

Love it!

Hell yeah G-man
I have to admit I have never heard of this brand. I had to look it up. Impressive, mahogany body too.

I can see the blemishes in the reflection off the wall, but really, it's no big deal.

Kidding'. Cannot. Congrats big time - I love Solars and I'm GAS'n pretty hard for one.

Yours looks awesome. Don't sweat the small stuff in a couple blemishes. They ain't no
thing and can very often be worth the discount.

Congrats! I eyeballed that one for awhile and noticed when it was no longer in the Outlet. Absolutely love that finish! These are such under-the-radar guitars, but in my experience at least, you get way more at that price point than you'd get from an Ibanez, Schecter, LTD and some Jacksons. Glad to know the shipping went quickly too.

Next month I'm ordering new pickups for it. I jammed for about 2 hours last night with it. I really like the feel of this model. It's slightly smaller than my Soloist, and definitely lighter. Now my Schecter feels like a lead brick.

Gotta get some strap locks and a new strap. Been waiting on a nice "Well-Hung" setup for a while now.
