First of all, the SD Antiquity II Tele bridge pickup, that was originally in my Esquire, is a very-very nice true single coil pickup. Over a year ago, I became curious about searching for a higher output Tele bridge pup just to see and hear if I would like it any more, or not, compared to a traditional style bridge T-pup. Enter the moderate output SD Hot Stack Tele: A double coil stack that surrounds an A5 bar magnet.

A traditional single coil Tele bridge pup usually has a metal baseplate, but this more modern style has a plastic baseplate. Therefore, I needed to add a separate ground wire to ground the Tele's bridge plate to the control plate, otherwise it's Buzz City

For reference, I plugged into my C3 SLO-clone kit amp to get a feel for this pup. I instantly got into an extended and inspiring round of good old guitar wanking. A bit more meat on the bones, and noticeably quieter at high gain, as to be expected. This is a good sounding and performing pickup that makes for a great alternative to the more traditional T-style bridge pup.
