FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

@STU change your user name and call yourself migraine. You can be @Headache ‘s twin bro :)
When I was cabbing I used to get sinus/migraine headaches and it would last 3 days…..

Since I had stroke and I am on blood thinners… I haven’t had them in long time… now I do office job 9-5 and I think having regular patterns help.

Good to hear you dont have them poop headaches… they totally suck!!!!

Something with nothing on my mind.
Thanks for listening
Mitch
Look at Mitch go - takes a single coil and still gets a wall of killer tone. Great job!
Just a quick F.N. riffage "Dime" inspired. Arm is still sore but I am getting stretched out. tossed in a clip of me working on (R) (L) triplets to Static X "Dirthouse"
That was killer. Love the MoshAll wall behind ya too! You should cut the second part and start a "Friday Night Beats" thread.
wouldn't be far from the truth, I used to suffer from those but not lately.. Thats some funny stuff
I've had migraines my whole life. Got my first when I was only 3 and literally thought I was dying it hurt so bad. And, anyone who thinks a migraine is just a headache has never had one. Can't tell you how many times people have said "oh I get bad headaches sometimes too." That's like comparing a light breeze to a tornado... unless the pain is so bad you're throwing up, you just had a run of the mill headache.

Speaking of @Headache, where's his contribution to all this sonic goodness?

when I had migraines I was throwing up, any small sound will irritate me to point of madness..... I would get disco flashing light flickering in my eyes..... They are so horrible....

Like you, I suffered headaches since I was little, I only remember one bad migraine as a kid... mum called ambulance I was so sick....

I think it was too much riff build up in my head lol

Sure thing, but I'm still learning to hold a beat, do fills and accents then drop back into the pocket. Just depends on the situation, I have all but a kick mic and some cymbal mics, I should just go with a generic drum mic kit with overheads... give me some time it's def. on the bucket list to get the kit mic'd for sure..
cool, so you will be my drummer in my online band :)

when can you start? this position is urgent lol :pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand:

Yep. As a kid the pain was so bad I would throw up all the time, and light/sound/temperature changes would send me over the edge.

Nowadays, just over the last 15ish years, when I start getting a migraine I go blind. #joy. But, if I catch it fast enough and take a couple Aleves, it only lasts for an hour or so. If not, I'm down for the day, then I have "aftershocks" for 3-4 days after.

@STU - I always wondered, since you can clearly play drums well, does that easily translate to programming a drum machine/drum software, building beats in a DAW?

Thanks guys for the @Iron1 @STU compliments. It took me 3 tries and I still muffed the ending
I remember reading an interview with a famous jazz/blues player, and he talked about a more experienced guy who brought him onto the scene. He told a story about muffing something their first time playing out together and the more experienced player said "If you don't tell anyone, they'll never know..."
