Things taken for granted

You live Across the water... hmmm. I am not up too much on my US cities geography.
Lemme guess.
Rikers Island? :D

Have you been to the Northwest Territory? Seems barren and cold. I've always found Canada intriguing. I've been to Toronto many times both by car and train and to Quebec once. Do you think Americans have a strong accent in their speaking? (This will tell me if you have one yourself ;))

In my times to Canada I've learned that they think Americans talk like hillbillies. I also said "college" to a Canadian before and they laughed at me. They said it's called "university". "Do you attend university", meaning.

Toronto used to be SO fun. We'd walk everywhere. I don't believe one can do that now days.

Have friends who lived in NWT. Beautiful in a stark way, I have never been.
We all have slightly different accents depending from where we hail.
I think some of us western Canadians talk (and are) hillbillies IMO!! College works. We have colleges and Universities, 2 different things sort of. You get a college Diploma and a University Degree.
Never been to TO. Went to Niagara Falls twice and out west to Victoria and Vancouver numerous times.

I love living in New England. Especially being less than a mile from the ocean. It’s a beautiful part of the world, in every season. I really think we have the best of all the seasons, and nature up here. Even if it is a bit dreary at times.
