The ‘School’s Out’ hitmaker is back in the studio creating more music and explained how far along he was with the new material on SiriusXM's ‘Trunk Nation’.

The 73-year-old shock rocker told host Eddie Trunk: “I’m working on two albums right now.

“One is … totally written, and we’ll be doing bed tracks for that one pretty soon. The other one is just a touch in the future, but that’s being written right now to

At 73, it's cool he still has enough gas in the tank to do that!

My first real band (the first one that actually played gigs) did three or four tunes off the Love It To Death album.
I have that album.

So let’s see. You did “Eighteen” and “Long Way to Go” since those were the singles and everyone expected those. Then you had to do “Ballad of Dwight Fry”…… my personal favorite from the album. And a 4th one. Not sure??

Alice is the man! ( that sounds confusing when you say it that way huh? Lol)

Always cool in my book and the original when it comes to marrying rock/horror. The original Alice Cooper Band had an awesome run of 5 straight albums within just a 3 year span, with tons of classic tracks and amazing B sides.

The Ballad of Dwight Fry is an awesome underrated track and c'mon, about every guy in here can relate to topic of Muscle of Love lol

We didn't play Ballad Of Dwight Fry, even though we liked it - no acoustic available, and it was a bit too quiet in the verses.
We were rockers; we did Caught In A Dream and Is It My Body, and later on covered Under My Wheels and Be My Lover too.
As an aside, it was well into the 21st Century before I realized that Sun Arise was a cover tune.
I'd never heard the original, back in the day.

Dwight Fry sure is iconic though, not to mention dramatic. A preview of the horrorshow themes soon to follow.
Delving into insanity was a popular idea for us at the time though - we named the band Devastating Madness.
And one of our originals was called Padded Cell.
