Midrange Bargain Pedals .... yes I'm at it again!!

Just curious, what particularly didn’t you like about the uzi. I watched some videos and some reviews, and it gets high marks.
If I remember correctly, it had a fizzy nasal tone that just didn't work with my setup at all.
I tweaked it for a good week or so then down the road it went.

YMMV

Don't not pick one up just I cuz I said I didn't like it ha ha. Everyone has their own thing going on.

I have Joyo JF-14 American Sound, Great pedal.

I am REALLY becoming a JOYO fan.
The more I research their products the more I think their products are better than a bargain. I feel like I’m robbing them.
They aren’t the cheapest pedals out there, but they are definitely budget.
Their R series are a bit more money, but I think they are the real deal for a good $40-$60 dollars less than some of the more popular units out there. And from what I’ve seen, they don’t skimp out.

Which model?
Give us pics!

Haven't taken a pic of my exact one, but it's one of these. Thing is in brand new condition, but I'm the second owner.

Get Diezel Herbert or Revv g2 or Friedman Be-od. They are well over 100 and super high gain.

Who wants low gain when you can have high gain.

I went totally opposite direction, did you expect anything different from me ? :)

I know, I know, I'm old... but for the life of me I don't get why a metal player would buy anything other than an SD1 or a TS/808, both of which are readily available for under $100 (there's a local guy selling an SD1 right now, seemingly brand new in the box with all the goodies for $30... so tempted to buy it just to have, but don't need a 3rd one).

If you can't get great OD tones with a solid amp and one of these two pedals, spending $1/2/3/400 on a boutique one won't get you there either. In the end, they're all just rips offs of the SD1 and/or 808 circuit anyway.

oh FYI ---- mesa on a budget.................
Oooo.... now that, it a different animal to the standard boutique OD pedal I just mentioned.

I'm getting there with Donner (actually read somewhere that they're basically the same company - but don't know how accurate that is). My Noise Killer is a little tank that does what it should do very, very well. And this EQ Seeker seems equally as solid.

I believe the Joyo TaiChi is likely to be a Zendrive clone. Another wonderful mid-gain OD circuit.
Voice control retunes its gentle mid emphasis, handy for matching it with different amps.
I have Lovepedal Zendrives in several flavors; didn't suggest the Zen upthread because they're pricier than the OP wants.
But I assume the clones are pretty close and I do recommend the circuit tonewise.

Six of my top ten favorite ODs are Lovepedals. All ten are too expensive for this thread though.
