They did the same to ozzy over the song suicide solution , saying it glorified suicide and drinking , but the song was written about Bon Scott as a warning of what could happen .

I think there are groups that share the same opinions and sometimes voice them together, and there are certainly varied opinions here. The good thing is that for the most part, the different opinions have been voiced without conflict outside of the point being made. I think that is how a society should be.

I agree that you should not give a darn about what others think, BUT, it is always good to hear the other side, either to gain a perspective you have not considered, or to reaffirm the perspective you already had. I try my very best not to think any less of anyone who completely disagrees with my opinion, which is made infinitely easier if their viewpoint is not harmful to others, in my opinion

@LRT, I miss your voice in the mix. Say it loud and proud (umm, within forum guidelines that is!)

Amen Ray. Wouldn’t we all be better off if we could make this happen from two guys discussing issues at their corner bar…. Right up the food chain to our elected officials. The things that could be accomplished. Without hate and anger.

Criticism is a constructive thing if taken in proper context. I do like to hear it, it help me to see what i can maybe work on to do/be better with

I'm sure there's more, but.....All these bands are "metal" in one form or another, and all with a more positive, albeit religious, outlook and subject matter.

Metal doesn't have to be a downer.

The boys in Stryper to this very day will deny that they are a Christian band, but rather, a group of Christians who are in a band together. May seem like a nondifference.....but that's a massive difference really. Not sure how much I can talk about that openly here though...
