I’m almost done with the flurry of gear.

Nothing says America more than … YES you guessed it, Zombies!!

Today I got my Joyo Zombie amp, shout out to @mcblink for this one, thank you. This is the first of 2 little Joyo amps.
I still can’t get over the size of this thing.
Haven’t hooked it up yet. It’s going to get married up to the EVH cab I received the other day. Cant wait to hear this little big boy crank out some tone.

Now for the review. I just can’t post gear porn without telling you guys about it.
First build quality.
It is small has a cool little handle and is made of metal. In other words, it’s a mini tank.
Everything about toggles, knobs, Bluetooth antenna. it all feels rugged and well made.
Controls are simple. Gain, tone, volume and silver mini toggles for power, bluetooth and to switch channels - clean and OD.

For sound, I connected the speaker on my DSL to it.
Started with the clean channel. It sounded ok. It’s clean, you can shape it brighter or darker and give it some gain.
It does get really loud really fast.
Here is the money shot. The dirty channel. WOW! No pedals to boost it just guitar - amp - speaker. It’s aggressive, like a little chihuahua on roids. The gain can get a little harsh on upper levels. But it definitely has a more modern tone. I am pleased!
I didn’t try the Bluetooth out. But I’m sure it’s typical connect and listen to whatever device you are playing.

Product value is great. At around $130-$150, can’t beat it
There you have My impressions of the Joyo Zombie Rectifier clone.

Congrats!

How do you like it so far?

I really want one of these. Just have to sell a few things before I can justify buying yet another amp. :ROFLMAO:
There are two types. Zombie and Zombie II.
The difference is about $40 more for the II. It has a footswitch and separate controls for each channel. The Zombie I is the better value unless having separate knobs for each channel is important.

Yeah, I'm a one trick pony, so no need for the II channels. In fact, I'd probably find them annoying since the knobs are all so close together.

How do you like the overall tone and such? I'm attracted to it cause right now I have a Jet City for Soldano tones, a 6505MH for the EVH/5250 tones and a DSL1 for the JCM tones. Need a Rectifier flavor and an Uberschall flavor to round out my collection.

Amazon has a ZoMBie I for $149. Supposed to sell a rack case on Monday for $100 - if I do, I'll probably buy the ZoMBie.

It’s a rectifier clone. It does a good job getting that feel.
If you are looking for a true rectifier, buy a rectifier.
This will get you close to that tone for a fraction of the cost.
I’m going off memory so it’s not a side by side comparison
But yes, if you are asking me if I felt like I had a rectifier. My answer is yes more or less.

Yeah, I don't "need" one, so going full bore Recto is out. If I was to buy a big amp again, I'd probably go after an SLO100 first. In the Mesa range, I'd LOVE to have a Badlander, but since I'm a one man bedroom band, there's no justifying $2000+ for a 100 watt head. So, if the ZoMBie scratches the itch for pennies on the dollar, that works for me. Thx!

I am elated that you like the zombie.
I once sent it to my metalhead guitar playing cousin, he said he didn't like it and sent it right back lol

I figured that he probably didn't know how to hook it up or something, he should have loved it, knowing him and how he is.

That thing will get pretty loud too, if need be. Enjoy my friend! I'm happy that it's found a place where it can finally get used as it should be.

Clips please!

Yeah, the Bluetooth is your typical connect and listen, I didn't really use it a lot, but you can also jam along to whatever it is you're listening to! It's a cool feature if you have a need for that kind of thing - I already had been jamming along to things using a different setup, like a P.A....so I didn't really use the Bluetooth other than trying it out a couple times.

I also tried slaving it to larger amps a few times, and that was pretty cool too!
