Who Here Plays Acoustic and Who Doesn't Even Own One?

Do you need an acoustic guitar in your arsenal?

I have one, an entry level Fender acoustic I bought years ago. Sounds pretty good for the price, and reasonably well constructed too. I used it more while I was taking some lessons at the time, but now it doesn't get played much. I will be changing the 2 year old strings on it soon and picking it up again to play some Neil Young tunes.

I'm really much more motivated to play my electrics though, since I prefer faster and more aggressive music. Some people do sound very good on an acoustic but unfortunately I'm not one of them.

I have one but never play it. The only reason I keep it is because I built it while attending Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery.

Considering all the great battery amps out there I'm rockin' the beach or campfire, not rowing my boat ashore. I only do that when I fish.

For ages, I only had a couple of crappy acoustics. They did not play or sound well, and turned me off of acoustics. When I bought my Martin D-16T, that all changed. I really like playing it, and having it around. Now, I need a nice acoustic with a pickup and pre-amp in it, so it can be plugged in. I'm eyeing a nice cut-away Taylor with maple back and sides, and a spruce top on Craigslist. Might be a nice birthday present to myself.

I learned on acoustic and didn't even own an electric until I had been playing about 5 or 6 years. I would normally play acoustic a lot, but in my current living situation I can't play loud and I can play my electric a lot quieter so the acoustic has been collecting dust for about 3 and a half years now.

...I miss it.

I have a Ibanez Artwood series all mahogany that's pretty sweet for a $300 guitar. When I start playing more acoustic again I plan to upgrade.

Thumbs up for that SG style guitar. That thing is SICK!

Funny. I pulled out my GS Mini and noticed a bit of bulge. I searched the issue and this was the first search result

Hey @syscokid , how is your belly?

There are a lot of results for this and a bit of a bulge is part of the GS's construction
