Today I received my second shipment of gear.
The Alesis Strike 8 amp I bought for my son’s e-drums.
I like that it can be set up to stand up, or a wedge, and even pole mount.

Cant wait to hear the roll of the snare on this thing.

yes, its an 8" full range. It says 2000w peak .... I think its more in the range of 200w. I dont know what peak would mean.

Usually peak is like kick drum at full bore max output.
Often half that is program watts ie general music including peaks n valleys.
Probably 500 watts constant at whatever frequency.

Went there today to jam with my son and the amp cut out after 5 minutes.
I checked it out and plugged it back in. Again after 5 minutes it stopped working.
Called Sweetwater. They were surprised. Tech support said they are rock solid amps.
They are expediting another one.
Kind of a let down. But I can’t say enough about Sweetwater and their customer service.

Sweetwater is AMAZING!
I just received the replacement amp this morning.
Not only did they overnight it to me. They sent it am priority.
That must have cost them as much as the amp is worth.
I was completely fine with getting it Monday.
My son is hooking it up now. It feels like Xmas!

FWIW... 1000 watts RMS! 650w for the lows and 350w for the highs.

See Sweetwater smart,your right prolly cost more to ship it overnite but its like a crack dealer givin out freebees youll be back for more so its a win win for you and Sweetwater.Great outfit,recomend them highly.

Very cool. Customer service is so rare anymore.
Most resellers would have you take it up with the manufacturer for warranty.
