The huggies Ad at the top is irony at it's finest lol. I'm used to having the music I love being crapped on by people from girlfriends to complete strangers, even the occasional cop at a red light, it's a shame this guy gets his mangina in a uproar over a hard rock band , we all don't ascribe to the drinking of hard seltzer while having cruel summer blasting on the jukebox. I for one drink cheap whiskey and enjoy the charred flesh of animals, the primal beating of my chest and the bitter taste a well rounded ale that puts me at ease with the world and hearing the howl and gravel in the voices Bon Scott and Brian Johnson makes it that much sweeter , call it toxic masculinity , chauvinism , whatever you prefer , for me atleast "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" and "It's never gonna die."

There are a few bands I listened to in my younger days that I can't stand to listen to ever again. One being REO Speedwagon and another being .38 Special. I just can't listen to them now.

There are a couple I could never listen to. The biggest being Steve Perry era Journey. Never could stomach the guy...

Have I mentioned lately that I don't care for much of anything Clapton did? Especially anything after 1970.

There are two bands, that I will not only show the grossest level of biasness towards, but will actually get incredibly pissed off over for and that's equally AC/DC and Iron Maiden: two bands that had the biggest impact on me, hands down to this day.

Both hold interesting parallels in that they had replacements for the original singers ( Im counting singers on albums, not early days before because both had guys you probably never heard of lol). In AC/DC's case is was far more tragic and no fault of their own with Bon's passing. However, both bands lost their key replacements ( Brian Johnson and Bruce Dickinson) and tried 3rd singers ( Axl Rose and Blaze Bayley) who fans just could NOT enjoy ( though in fairness, Blaze was a decent singer and fit the band); so they went back to their 2nd singers and the fans went ecstatic ( Brian Johnson and Bruce Dickinson return!)

But to me their biggest parallel? Despite being incredibly wealthy now, they BOTH were from the dirty working class streets and still to this day, maintain a street level attitude about life. They dont flaunt money, they dont stay in the spotlight with their personal lives, they just make music for THEMSELVES and no one else, using the same formulas that got them their 40+ years on each (near 50 for AC/DC actually).

So that's why I love both: street level bands for street level fans. Meet a fan of either band? And you meet THE most loyal fanbases you will ever encounter and will literally fight you at the drop of a hat over either band without a second thought lol

your not a reporter OUT of ideas and trying to meet a deadline....... thats the how of the hard is that ;)

I used to work in advertising and newspapers --- the way reporters come up with stories now days is beyond pathetic.....and the journalistic integrity concept ran out in the 70s ...."sources" whgo needs "sources" just make it an "opinion" piece and write wtf ever ya want ------send to editing.... fix grammar errors .... get fridays check ..... buy more huggies and man candy .....wash rinse repeat
 
Well, like I always say: Music is a very personal and individual thing.

This author has expressed his thoughts and feelings about AC/DC. His preferences are no less valid than anybody else’s. If others are free to write articles lauding AC/DC, then he is free to write an article expressing a differing opinion.

I‘ve got no problem with him writing the article.

I like both a lot. I tend to favor the stones much more cause of the raunch and sleeze lol but the irony is: The Beatles were actually WAY more street level than The Stones. The Beatles came out of Liverpool/Merseyside which is a damn blue collar, run down place but the people are as cool as they come. The Stones came from the posh London streets, in the middle class area.

Funny how the images were switched though once they hit the scene lol
