FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

I had Mitch in mind when I came up with this.
Cheers to you brother!

That's good stuff too. Like the groove one from the other thread more, but this one I still very cool.
When I have enough money to pay Mexican cartels to take me over the border or show me where the hole is in the wall, I will come over and bring St. Anger memorabilia just for you signed by all the taxi drivers on the rank.

You’ll be sooooo happy you be singing tik tik tik tok tik tik tik tok…..
I don't even know what that is, but apparently you have all the lyrics memorized... :fan:< official St. Anger emoji
Stuff I met there most of them are nice, they said they came in temporarily but afte 15, 20, 10 years they are there. Money is ok, I don’t have to work physically and given current times, working from home is option too.

Ill stick to it and see I might like it. Been there 2 months now.
Working from home is very cool. I've been doing it since last April - instead of doing the whole water cooler thing or being bored in between tasks, I can just pick up a guitar and jam for a few, then put it back down when the next task pops up. The commute is pretty killer, too.

I think this will jog your memory.

Actually it won't cause I quit paying attention to Metallica not long after ...Justice was in the rear view mirror. I still have Ride the Lightning in my most listened to play list, but not much else from them. Once Cliff's daily influence on their songwriting faded, so did my interest in their songs.
I still like them :)

I never had the chance to see Cliff play. First time I ever saw Metallica live was at Monsters of Rock in Giant Stadium. That was late 80s. Cliff Burton was why I got into playing bass. I was kinda die hard. Last album I bought was Load ... which was a load of :poo:.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

I used to be a Metallica "Superfan" in the 80s. Grabbed Ride... the week it came out after my old bass player raved about it. And it was life changing, musically. Had a giant Metallica back patch on my denim vest, listened to their stuff constantly, had bootleg tapes of them playing clubs in Cali, was standing at the record store front door before they opened to grab Master of Puppets the day it was released and skipped school to go to a buddy's house and listen to it on repeat all day. Told everyone who would listen about this band that was the greatest metal band ever - and most of the people those days were stuck on Maiden, AC/DC and Priest and laughed at me for saying Metallica was the best out there.

We camped out overnight to get tickets to their tour with Ozzy - and I'll never forget watching Cliff headbang - his hair was so long when he went forward it almost whipped against the stage - seeing that version of Metallica live was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. Hard to believe it was only a few months after that show that Cliff was killed. We had a memorial party for him and one of the guys there was complaining about all the Metallica and said he didn't give a ^#$#$ about some idiot dying... I dumped my beer on his head and was about to take a swing at him when we got pulled apart - he ended up apologizing when he realized I wasn't the only one there about to kick the crap outta him.

My brother got the Cliff Em All video tape and we literally watched it so much the tape broke. Then Garage Days came out and the Cliff chapter of Metallica was clearly coming to an end... as much as I loved Flotsam and Jetsam back then too, Newsted was no Cliff, he was his own man with his own creativeness that got smothered, too. In a way, Cliff dying ruined two bands for me.

And, Metallica was just never the same after that. Which led to my waning interest.

while we are on tallica subject, I had cassette and before I knew who Cliff was, I with thinking the bass solo take one is awesome poop..... ( I didn't even know what bass was) My English was a lot worse than it is now... When I heard Orion I had Goosebumps....Cliff was THE G but I Got to know them with Jason and for that reason my tallica always be with J.

I love Cliffs stage presence he had his skills, its really sad that we lost him.... I think if he was around he wouldn't be in tallica now. he was very different and musical, like Randy Road was. If Randy Was around I dont think he would have stayed with Ozzy.

Anyway, as promised my riff at 250bpm. The mask was my boys idea, he said I should make riff video with his new mask and say hello at the end. :)

Nice Ramo.
Your son was looking out for you. The aerodynamic helmet was for protection. At that speed, you could get hurt!

Never thought of it that way, but I agree wholeheartedly.

True story: I actually bought st anger ...on CD. Went in to get a Judas priest album and they were sold out so I gave "alternica" as I started calling them another chance.

I was flying home in my truck on the freeway.... Didn't even make it through the whole album.... I ejected that piece of crap and turned it into an 85mph frisbee!

Wish we still lived in AZ. Something tells me you and I would get along great.

One of the local rock stations out here had been bragging how they were going to play it in it entirety ( they did and I couldn’t take it)
Cheers
