Why Modern Metal Sounds Generic

Let me save you some trouble…
I have two 4x12s with T75s and at no point did I think they sounded distant or muddy, rather the opposite: very in your face and lots of mid range. But hey, maybe thats just my completely damaged ears lol

But truthfully, i love a wide variety of speakers and I'm not just sworn to T75s. I have two cabs with K100 Celestions that are basically just 75s on steroids, so Im sure he would just love those lol

But the classic 25 Greenbacks, Vintage 30s, 65 Creambacks, as well as other makes like the lovely Fanes from HiWatt, Eminence and even Sheffields are all great in my opinion.

OMG, HE is talking about IR's Camper profiles? WTF is any of that stuff? HELLO dude, I am still working my way back to driving a car with points and condenser distributors and ditching all this computer failure driven rich boy toy car stuff.
I keep threatening my wife that my next car will be a pre-'65 Buick. At least my bike still has points.

Thanks for saving me from watching that.

I used Jubilee cabinets for years with G12T-75 in them. Sounded very clear. Still have one of the two, for when I need to turn an amp up really loud.

And we cannot forget the awesome offerings from EV.

I don't pay heed to opinions on You Tube or internet in general. Everyone has an opinion but I gotta hear it myself. At least with stuff like this.
I hear that Creamback M65 is brighter than V30 in one case. I find them very bass heavy and thick in comparison. I have each.
Go figure.
A V30 NOT bright?
All with 25 and 30 watt greenbacks or blackbacks, Fanes, or 10" Celestions with Pulsonic cones. All sound very, very nice. The Fanes sound excellent with any head I hook up to it.

To me, I can't help but think that the VARIATION of METAL or any MUSIC starts with this. TALENT and PERFORMING the piece.

Here are 2 men many of us likely never heard of who is playing a song most here likely never heard before. BUT to me, the original as well as this are different enough that it is the SPICE of LIFE. which is the bottom line in the non GENERIC outcome.

Broon's Bane
The song is named after Terry Brown, nicknamed "Broon" by the band, who produced Exit... Stage Left and 10 other Rush albums. (On the same album, Lee refers to Brown as "T.C.

And the originator.
