Sp8ctre and RVA's Guitar Adventure

When I was a kid, I took the neighbors garden hose and placed it in the mail slot, turned it on and let it flood the house. I was trying to give them an indoor swimming pool.

When I was about 10-11 years old, I did likewise to our bathroom. I got a brilliant idea to take one of those giant balloons the vendors used to sell outside the Baltimore Orioles Memorial Stadium and make the biggest ever water balloon out of it. So, I put it in a laundry basket and commenced to filling till it got as big as it could and still could tied shut. I then went into my bedroom and chilled out awhile till I suddenly heard the whooshing of water rushing out of the balloon and all over the bathroom, hallway. I never made that mistake again, but it was fun trying.

The neck and frets are perfect now! The only thing I'm struggling with is whether the Pup's are to my liking...which is looking like a NO!

Really?

First, I think the neck is perfect, but if you do not, yo got the micros with the adjustable pole pieces...use them. Then, lower the bridge and roll down the tone. The pots are nice and smooth

I don't think it's an adjustment question here Ray. You did a perfect job adjusting those as well. I don't like the Pup's themselves...

Maybe I didn't express that correctly! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING you did is perfect!

Thank you, and I knew what you meant. One thing I did not adjust is the pup height. It is too individual and well within your capabilities. As I already expressed to you earlier, I love the pups. I just do not want to see you give up on them too soon

shoot naw, just go grab em man......save the black powder for stump pulling!

I should correct this. I did move them, many times. However, I did not attempt to dial them in to what I considered optimal because that would only be my opinion of what is optimal

Well...the latest after much playing and such is...I'm selling her. I just can't bond with Tele's or Strat's very well. I want to, but I can't.
I've bought and sold at least 7 Strat's all the way from a Bullet to an American Deluxe and I never bond. I've had at least 5 Tele's and it's
the same...not my guitar I guess.

After all the work Ray has done this is now going to give someone great joy, but not me.

I'll be posting it for sale soon. I have grandkids in town and I'm super busy with them...

I know I shouldn't but I'm gonna and I apologize in advance
because it's totally none of my business but I gotta say this:

If you're gonna part with that guitar it should go in Rays direction.
He put a ton of work and skill into it and literally saved its life.
I've already gone too so far I may as well go all the way.
If it were me I would give it to him outright.
