Guitar gremlins

In the last 2 days. The following has happened.
Yesterday, The tuning key on my Schecter bass broke. I went to tune the A string because it was a little sharp. I turned it and nothing happened. The post didn’t turn at all. Suddenly the post gave out and the string turned into a noodle.
Then today.
The neck volume pot on my SG isn’t working, if I roll it to 8 or higher the pup cuts out and yes there is static as I roll the volume. and the tone knob broke off. Looks like the tab on the inside of the knob snapped.
I really take care of my gear, and to have 3 things happen in 2 days is just weird.
Got on the phone with Schecter, and they are sending the tuner. That was nice and smooth.
The Gibson I’m just going to spray the pot out and get a new knob.

Freaking Gremlins!!!

I hate gremlins. And I feel your pain. While not in a two day period. But on my Strat I had the neck pup just up and quit. Tested. No continuity. Other two were fine. Got that fixed (used it as an excuse to upgrade all three) and one of the tone pots got weird. So again…. Used that as an excuse to upgrade all three to better ones. Strat is all good and frankly sounds more stratty than it did before. Then my Carbon Copy delay pedal took a puke. That one I think is dead.

Same thing here, if something goes down, start looking around. Somethings bound to go.

Good news.
Schecter sent the tuner for my bass out today.
Cant wait to fix that bad boy up.

I'd say that is not bad customer service. Not bad at all.

Good info to file for use in the future.

Sam Ash also put my SG back in order today, when GC was giving me the run around. Check out my post in The Closet Room "Warranty Merry-Go-Round"
A very special thanks to @Robert Herndon for taking the time to help me out.

On a side note, the tech at Sam Ash fell in love with my SG.
