That's what our drummer told me today. The band wants to knock out a Christmas song ASAP. So, today we cranked out the entire long version of "War Pigs" starring my 2021 Gibson Les Paul. The drummer heard some guys on You Tube singing "Deck The Halls" to the tune of "War Pigs," and decided that would be a good version for us to do. I figured that after we do the "Christmas Version," I will have to sing a cover of War Pigs just for fun.

It still needs vocals, but I'll post it up when we have it all mixed down and mastered.

We borrowed some lyrics from another version of the song, and I tweaked ours a bit.

Ok, here's your lyrics....more or less.

Lyrics:
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Fill the meadcup, drain the barrel,
Troul the ancient Christmas carol,
See the flaming pit before us,
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Follow me in merry measure,
While I sing of Christmas treasure, (Oh Lord Yeah!)

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols sing your heart's desire
And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody gather 'round here comes the snow
A bit of grog to make the season bright
Tiny tots, with - all - their eyes aglow
Will find it very hard to sleep tonight

Fast away the old year passes,
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses!
Laughing, quaffing all together,
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Yuletide logs upon the fire
Of this night we shall not tire
Oh! how merry tis' the season,
Oh! how blessed is the reason,
(Oh Lord Yeah!)

The 2021 Gibson 50's Standard Gold Top continues to impress in the studio. I've had it since November 17th and its already been used on over 100 recordings as of this writing.

I'm using the bridge BB3 on this recording of 'War Pigs.' Totally stock guitar, plugged straight into my Blackstar ID-Core 100 DAW.
