FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

The Katanas are just such a great bang for the buck amp. Wish they had those when I first started playing instead of the old Crate G10 crap pile I had for a practice amp. Killer riffing, as always!

I picked up a new to me project guitar this week so I could dabble in single coil land to have some contrast for my songwriting. A 1998 Hamer Slammer. So, I started this thing as just a tone test to hear the difference in the 5 different selector positions and before long I'd used all 6 of my guitars and 2 of my 3 basses and had something of a song.

It's insanely fast, so I know Ram is going to absolutely love it. I think it gets all the way up to 60bpm at one point...

I paused Savatage to listen to your song, so far started good, I like the effects of the weather. Now, I'm over minute into the song and still has not picked up the pace........well, its finished and my speed detector radar didnt detect any speed. YOU ARE A DECIEVER !!!! from now on I call you Iron the DECIVER!!! Also, you bought single coil guitar to make ping pong st anger music... you are dropping on my list of heavy chaggerzzz.....Im disappointed...you let me down.....:flame:#

I had a little time to actually noodle around this morning before my day started. Since the holidays started I havent had much time to play.

Here is a little something, @Ramo it isnt 7,000bpm but it will have to do.

Bro, are you even trying?????

Right..... here's challenge for you.....Get the drum beat going and play downpicking as fast as you can... I want to see what you are made off..... Do you accept the challenge?

I give you points for playing V and trying to throw a pick and horns!!!

thats about it hahahaha

Sounds good buddy I thought you were about to go into a Volbeat tune there at the intro.
Nice work brother, love the V !!
Cheers

You know, to play slow is equally hard for me? I get so frustrated I say arggggggg Intercourse this :poo: let crank the tempo and I go at it till my arm cant take no more….
It’s just what ever works for us all, I am trying to work on timing, and not flubbing my notes an the extra strings ringing in the back ground, then maybe my speed will increase, without the chaotic noise of my sloppy playing. Thanks

Ok. I’ll see what I can do.
First I have to get some pain meds for the arthritis. Then anything that ends in cane for my old injuries.

Then maybe I’ll make the 150 bpm mark.

As for the pick throw … that’s your domain. I was about to throw it, then decided pick drop.
I’m not worthy of a pick throw. lol

I thank you my brother’s.
I tend to dwell in this area, it seems to be a good spot for me..
Thanks again for the support and compliments
Cheers
I am trying to play out of my comfort zone @Ramo and @Headache are inspiring. But I lack the physical tools

I forget who has said it in the past. But Sabbath-ish and Stoner Metal riffs (didn’t know that was a thing until recently) seem to be my comfort zone.

Dont worry Ramo, it doesn’t mean I won’t try to increase speed, just doesn’t sound right to me when I try.

Im just pulling your leg, man. You play what you want, it must be fun otherwise whats the point.

But I say this, if you want to get better and move forward you need to play on the edge of your ability.

My leads suck and Im trying to improve but I cant move forward because I don’t practice leads and don’t know what to practice or how.
