I am sorry you had to go through all of this but so pleased to hear the result of the procedure. What do you mean by "mostly" full recovery though?
With this type of surgery there is a very small possibility of long term incontinence and erectile disfunction. In most cases there will be both, but complete control will be regained after a few weeks or months. There are options if the symptoms persist. My urologist said that he found most of the prostate cancer was concentrated on the right side of my prostate. Therefore, he explored the tissue area surrounding that side of my prostate more intensely, and at the same time it made it easier to NOT sever the nerves that could affect full recovery. Time will tell...
