Spoiler Alert: I'm recovering well... :fingersx:

Prior to the beginning of the Koronavirus pandemic, the PSA numbers associated with my yearly routine physical checkups, increased to a suspicious level. Welcome to Mr Urologist. A year goes by, and my PSA number exploded. An MRI and biopsy of my prostate later, cancer was confirmed... ugh!

My options at this point was to either wait-and-see, or daily radiation treatments, or removal of my prostate. I asked Mr Urologist to get that little F'er out of there! The prostate removal technique used, is called: RALP... Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy. This stuff is crazy:

Anyways... Three days ago and after a four hour surgery, my poor little prostate is gone, along with a couple nearby lymph nodes. The cancer was deemed localized, and I'm expected to make a mostly full recovery. It is going to take a few months though.

I was home as of yesterday, and I'm f'n sore as all Hell. I also have a new little friend tagging along with me for a couple of weeks... Meet Mr Peebag:
Ha ha... Ain't going to show y'all a pic!

Wow!!!!

Gibson bless you, brother!!!!

Man sorry to hear this happened. It seems like the C word on prostate gets at every guy anymore at some point. Im glad you elected to nip it in the bud and ditch it early: you should be good to go though! Kick that thing's ass.

My dad is currently in that same boat but like you, caught it early on thru good screenings. But at this point, the doctors really have not made a plan forward: either full removal or direct injection treatment/chemo. Luckily, its very minimal at this point but im hoping he makes an executive call on the treatment and just gets rid of it altogether

Get well Greg. I'm a survivor.
Thanks, and congratulations!

In 2003, at the age of 45, I also had colon cancer. Surgery came out clean, with no need for any follow-up treatments. What slightly complicated my recent surgery was scar tissue created by the colon surgery. All in all, I consider myself very fortunate and hope to rightfully claim that I'm a double survivor...

My wife has been living with stage IV for the last four year. <----The 4's.

Scans have been all clear for the last 3 years.

You got this! Staying positive is of supreme imortance. Negativety adversly affects healing.

Sending prayer to Groovey Beach for a speedy recovery!
