You can buy a P 90 that is a humbucker.I love my LP but want to change the P-90's I have to dual humbuckers. Nothing against them, but a LP just in my feeble mind, is a dual humbucker machine. Will I need to replace the pickguard or anything else? Help needed.

Same on the dimarzio soap bars I linked. They even have a super distortion model in a soapbar form factor.Wow!!!!
Two rows of pole pieces!!!!!
You just need a hotter p90.
I am not historically averse to this line of thought. After adjusting my ludicrously hot P90 set in the guitar in my avatar, I can say that it can be done…the oomph of a humbucker, in the form of a P90…but with that tone/bite/snarl of a traditional P90…just roll the volume and/or tone knobs to taste. You just need a hotter p90.
But mini humbuckers are weak and microphonic...besides needing just the right screws which are a pain.Mini humbuckers are drop ins...
I love me some P90.
My 594 is loaded with Seymour Duncan Antiquities. One of my most played guitars.
That said NOTHING works for everyone.
Change is good.

Compared to cutting out the body for full sized humbuckers which is even more of a pain.
But I think I would go ahead and do it anyway.
