You may be a gear nerd if you spend 30 minutes trying to figure out the brand of amp Raj on Big Bang Theory has his Taylor acoustic plugged into. Would have taken me less than 5 if I could spell when I googled it.

Not a bad price. Maybe I should grab it in case Peter ever talks me into playing mandolin with the Gobsh1tes again.
It is a CA blond I think.
SWR made some decent solid state amps.
The amps sounded good and had some useful EQ in the preamp.
The amps need the controls cleaned, and the tweeter needs to be replaced pretty often, but the quality of the amp itself is above average for an acoustic guitar SS amp or a bass amp.
(they also made little bass amps)

Fender bought SWR and Sunn, they own both brands.
To some extent they still support the amps, although there is no more original parts I would venture to guess.

I would just go to radio shack and buy a piezo tweeter, then take the driver off and attach it to the SWR.
That was the $10 solution for a blown tweeter...
Although there is better tweeters out there that will fit if you have the motivation.

I had the brand figured out while watching the show. Was looking for confirmation. Couldn’t quite make out the SWR in the brief glimpse. But I caught the “Workingman” on it. Unfortunately, when one types workman into Google leaving out the “ing” even Google can’t bail you out. What’s even dumber. I have my youngest sons bass amp and cabinet stored in my house. It’s a SWR Workingman. All I had to do was take one minute to walk into spare bedroom and look. One doesn’t always get smarter with age.

It's a bass amp then....but still a pretty good amp.

How heavy? I have an early 70s Traynor YGM3 - single 12”. Thing is a tank. Pretty sure the transformer by itself weighs as much as some modern guitar amps.
Workingman's bass amp 1X12 is 50 pounds.
California Blond is 51 pounds.

I used to have a little Yorkville bass amp that was pretty good.

Yikes…. That is heavy for an acoustic amp.

My kids bass amp isn’t too had for weight, however the cabinet is too big for me to move. Loaded with 4 - 10” speakers. Lotsa wood. Side note: My Ovation acoustic sounds absolutely amazing thru this amp. Can crank just about any volume with no fear of feedback. Can’t say the same playing it thru my Traynor.

Just checked. From the factory the YGM3 is 47 pounds. I swapped out the Marsland speaker it came with for a Vintage 30 that has a real magnet. That pushes it a bit closer to that 50lb mark.

Mom's also got a brand new Peavey amp and it's a giant beast. Was used by her pedal steel player. Has its own flight case too.

Well for a closed back cabinet it's pretty average.
There are open back amps but you lose a lot of the low frequency in an open back.

Fender is using Neo speakers to help lighten up the weight.

It has 7 knobs in the top row.
It has 6 knobs in the bottom row.
It has brown face plate and grill with cream knobs.
So as far as I can tell it's a California Blond.
