Get your Hemi while you can.

She is pretty!
12s is impressive. Did you run slicks and skinnys at the track?
Love the Crager SS style rims
12.5s back then was a lot of work. If I remember correctly I think they were G60 14s, and I had Lakewood traction bars. Hooking up was difficult.

GM claims my 2019 Z51 Vette will do 11.9 from the factory. Haven’t raced it yet though.

When I clocked 13.2 with my 79 Z/28 I felt like I achieved something big. I took the 350 out and turned it into a 383 stroker. I think the trans was a TH350 but I cant remember for sure. I remember putting a manual valve body in at some point. I know the torque converter was around 3000 rmp and that went to a 4:11 rear. My biggest problem was hitting the holeshot right. When I think back at all the money I sunk into that car ....

I dont know if I would personally race the vette

12s were no problem for this stock 750 Kawasaki 2 stroker

When I say race, I mean a few runs down the 1/4 mile. I took the 2010 Camaro to the track after it had 1000 miles on it. Still had paper plates when I raced it. Did 13.3 on my first run. Ran it about 30 more times after various mods. Best time was 12.75. It was my DD. :dood:
