Get your Hemi while you can.

6.2-Liters. Definitely the most anachronistic thing a car company could be doing in 2021.

I don't mind a fast car, but there are certainly more effective ways of getting speed than making gigantic motors. Jesus, these guys are living in 1968 is seems - does every car come with a Creedence 8-track?

If it does, I'll buy it.

If you ever got to experience an original Hemi Cuda, the torque was numbing. buddy has one & my other buddy builds Ford 427 side oilers. Massive power & torque, not quite as efficient as modern engines but just incredible rides
A friend of mine had a 68 Charger R/T with a 440 many years ago. He loved his MOPARS. He slapped a tri-power on it, he was a wiz at setting those up. We took it for a ride ... I consider that the scariest and coolest experience of my life. My ears were ringing after that ride, he was running straight pipe to glasspacks, the old cherry bombs.

We have cars today that’ll do 0-60 quicker. 1/4 mile quicker. More top speed. And they do it with no fuss or muss. Muscle cars of yester year were brutal. Side step the clutch and it hurt when your body was force fed into the seat back. Assuming you could actually grab traction with the crappy tire we had then. Boy do I miss those days.

Absolutely, the efficiency & power to rear wheels is amazing these days. My 98 GT would eat my 65, 66. 68 & 70 stangs i had up & also have it set up for cornering, seriusly don't need brakes much with 5 spd & all the suspension work done & body linked up AND can get 22 mpg on highway even with 4.10 rear. lol

I‘ll take the 8-track. Somebody else can have the gluttonous engine.

i sure like the muscle car days. The sound, the smell of fuel from the engine. I want a muscle car that sounds like a muscle car, not one of those electric things that has no feeling of nostalgia, I want the sound that matches the power and speed of a race car. Don O just disregard your name in the corner. This appeared and i can't get rid of it.:)

Who’s gonna help me shoehorn that beast into my Civic??

I’ve had a few too, but not many pictures from the 70s. Here’s my 68 Camaro I had in high school back in Woodlawn MD. I bought it from my best friend who lived across the street and I was with him when he had bought it. It was a built 327 4 speed with solid lifters and did 13.3. After I ran the sh#t out of that engine I dropped in a built up 402/375 auto that did 12.5. This was right before the first oil crisis. It got 6 mph.

@smitty_p there’s a chrome 8 track player right below the center gauges!
