LRT and I have cleaned up and rearranged some of the things in the jam room. There is now a 65" Samsung TV hung on the wall which is cool.

We've been using a Samsung Galaxy Book that runs Win 10 for recording stuff.

I try to project the screen from the Galaxy Book to the TV, and it will connect, and then immediately disconnect itself. Can't figure out why. It works fine on the 65" Samsung I have in my RV, but for some reason it doesn't want to play nice with the TV in the jamroom.

Everything is up to date as far as system updates and drivers and everything else goes, so it's frustrating to say the least.

I was really hoping to make this work, it sure would be easier on the eyes when working with the DAW and everything.

Am I missing something? I see no apparent reason why it shouldn't work as designed. Digging around on the web, it seems like I'm far from the first to experience this issue, however, I still haven't been able to find a solution. Kinda hoping maybe someone knows what's likely happening here, but I ain't holding my breath...

I actually like my Samsung stuff. I have a feeling it's more of an issue with Miracast in Windows 10 than anything to do with Samsung. All of my devices are Samsung and I've never had problems with any of them in all the years I've used them.

FWIW, smart view from my galaxy s20+ works just fine with all the TVs around here, just not the device that has Win 10 on it...which leads me to believe the problem isn't Samsung at all...but Windows.

BTW, @Ramo
Did you ever get your TV problem figured out?
No, still watching Netflix and Prime….

Samsung said they could send someone out and it will cost £200 + parts I tolled them no thank you.

Once I get first paycheque I will find someone locally to fix it. According to them arial receiver is faulty. I doubt that because before retune it was working just fine.

We used aluminum foil, our hands and 2 different hold knobs,. Vertical and horizontal, to get our 2-4 channels on our black n white "tv"

Oh and beat the sides top and anywhere but picture tube.
I had a beat assed Sanyo 19inch TV in my room. Had color but about every 45 mins the picture shrunk to the size of a polaroid picture and the sound blanked. The trick was to give it a nice attitude adjustment right where the tube met the TV. Worked until you turned it off and would repeat the next time. My grandpa had the same model in the corner of his kitchen, that he watched the Braves on and one day he went to toss it out the window until i showed him that lil magic trick lmao

Sounds like the first IBM computer I used went I moved into parts dept. in 1980. Green screen. Huge keyboard. When keys stuck, the tech guy from the head office told us the trick. Pick up the keyboard 5-6” off the desk and drop it. And that would fix it.

Is a hardwire connection out of the question?

Can you cast to the TV with other devices? I watch Sling, Pluto, Netflix and others by casting from my phone here at the compound. That way I don't have to pay extra. Just trying to narrow down whether it's the TV or casting device.

All other devices work with this TV.
And this damn tablet casts just fine to other TVs too...just not this one evidently
