Probably just because I thiught it looks better. No sound difference that I can tell. But I'm hard of hearing. Also, a Cherry red 2016 SG std with stock 498T and 490R. 2020 Fender Strat delux with all the bells and whistles. A 2020 MIM strat with Tex-Mex pups in place of the factory pups. Martin D-28 that I fingerpick and/or flat pick. A 1973 Epiphone Texan made in Japan. The Epi was my first guitar bought in 1973. Also have a 2003 Taylor 310CE accoustic. All bot in the same year as the model year. Probably too many guitars, but I'm 67 years old, so they were colleted over the last 48 years or so. Also play keyboards. First garage band was in 1970. Played a Hammond B-3. Started learning guitar in 1973 with the cheap Epi made in Japan. Looking forward to the "Tone Room" forums. Best regards, dudes and dudettes
