So,

Pretty much, just like that, I got me another band...

This was the strangest thing. It started a few weeks ago when one of the vocalists at the music academy pulled me aside and said, "Rob, You just have such a great way of doing things and bringing things together. I would love to work with you if you ever create another side project. I got rehearsal space at my place and there are no volume level restrictions." This vocalist (a former PRCA bronc rider) also plays drums and bass.

A few days later, one of the instructors at the music academy approached me, saying basically the same thing. He plays drums, bass and guitar also.

The next weekend, the owner of the academy said "I'd be interested in drumming for your side project."

Our old bass player messaged me the same day and said he "heard it through the grapevine" that I was back in business and he wanted in.

One of my students (advanced) wants in also.

The plan is to play my favorite old Bad Dog venue (The Rustic Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone, California) one weekend a month and present 7 hours of music, which was what we had been doing and we were the ONLY band to ever doll out 7 hours of music.

This would begin at 6pm with (3) 50 minute sets with a 10 minute break every hour on the hour.

A 1 hour meal break follows (the band's meals and drinks are included in the deal as always) and we invite a different student band from the academy or a local solo artist to play our 1 hour meal break. We then take the stage for the final (3) 50 minute sets with a short encore list if needed.

The reason that this is such a big deal to me is that I pulled out of a lot of music projects to spend more time at home, but this project came to me and my wife is actually really good with it, so its almost like devine intervention in that the band formed itself.

I'll be posting more updates to this thread as we progress...

This is the rear of the venue. The pistol points to the back stage door.

If you PM, I will tell you what the lady in the black long sleeve told me after this 2021 performance.
