Covers....Lets see them!

Looked back through some older stuff. First is from 2017 - we often do covers our own way, I mean, I have to enjoy myself and play what I want, song dependent.
Rockin in the Free World - no offense to Neil but not the best singer ever. We use 3 part harmonies in chorus and carry the notes longer. Sounds fuller and more pleasing to us. For solo I play whatever.
Then the solo part of Rocky Mt Way. Usually I do some bluesy over the top thing but I guess that year I decided to go the Priest Sinner route with lots of echo and feedback!
Fun.
I should do that again.

Good morning, afternoon or evening, depending on where you are! I had been considering posting this one for quite some time, so now that the thread is open, I'm jumping in with a semi-cover... maybe more like a guitareoke attempt.

But first, a quick background story: last year while surfing UG.com, I came across a link to a website that sadly is no more, but which contained a wealth of backing tracks from original songs minus the LG, RG, Bass tracks or all of the above. Many of said backing tracks were not of the best quality, but there were quite a few impeccable ones. Including the one I present today to you as my humble offering for your consideration. Yes, Hair Metal at its finest (and poppest)...

Now for the tech notes: ALL guitar parts except the talk box guitar, are played by yours truly, including the one on the Right channel shadowing the original talk box part. Recorded using Reaper and my Black Epi LP (Liv) that you all know by now. Rough guitar / base track level mix, still need to redo some and tweak the compression. Uploading on MP3, let's hope it goes through.

OK, let's hear your thoughts!
poop man, that is awesomely done!! Spot on really

Thanks, Mike! Took me a lot of time and takes to get the parts right! But after I had done this recording and bought the blue schecter I was listening to the isolated Richie Sambora guitar and heard a lot of things I need to improve and rerecord. Starting with the whammy bar parts. That's on my list of to-do's along with a few others and installing the over-the-stove MW oven! Hopefully I'll be able to record them and upload them asap! :thanx:

NIce windmills, Jethro!! Great show, man!!

First off is my messed up version of Pink Floyd Have a Cigar, I found rgor the last part that's why I cut it short lol.

Then we have a cover of Townes van Zandts tunes If I needed you

Lastly a cover of a tune that's heard playing in the movie Cool Hand Luke. When Luke gets the message that his mama passed away he picks up his banjo and starts playing this tune.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, it should be able to play it on this site without making you open up soundcloud. I'm sorry!
