Hammett going GIBBO!?!?

Then there is this old guy who I actually think is almost the Leslie West of influences on the Grunge players that burst forth in the 90's.

I would not classify this guy as a Metal player. When I think of Metal I guess I'm thinking of 90's and beyond. Many of the players shown are Hard Rock to me.

Even Sabbath is not the Metal of those times...they may have started it, but I always thought of them as Hard Rock along with AC/DC and GNR type bands...

Sp8, I knew that summation would be brought up.

While not all their music is metal per se, it has the elements of it. Kind of like some songs eventually like in the case of AC/DC. Bon Scott Hard Rock Blues Based Rock. But when Brian Johnson came on, a Metal side such as Hells Bells began to emerge.

As for Neil Young, likewise. Obviously a large part of Buffalo Springfield style was in his heritage, but with Crazy Horse came the likes of songs like this that has a Metal aura to it in my mind.

Here is why I mention Neil at all, just listen to version 2.

I am just not a Neal Young fan in any regard...Bless him anyway

(tip of the Metal-guy-playing-a-Les Paul-iceberg, but he's still the king)

You see…I was gonna post a pic of a Jackson guitar, but then you hadda go and post a pic of RR with his white LP Custom.

So, I’m just gonna go ahead and sit back down now.

Carry on…

I was typing my Randy, Slash and Zakk post TO Gball in what must have been the same time HE was posting Randy too.

NOT that I was in a race to beat him to it, but I was already agreeing with G and hence I posted as I did. Great minds think alike.
