Comparison of Six Drive Pedals

The Sabbra Cadabra is a tough one to swallow and completely different from the others. I usually run the Rat with less drive and the filter dialed up more. I've never really gotten along with the Mojo Mojo. It's just a little boring. The Blues Driver is great and I generally run the drive knob about 10 o'clock. The Super Overdrive primary gets used as a clean boost with my DSL100HR. Volume cranked and drive all the way down. The Soul Food gets a fair amount of use and usually have the drive set somewhere in the afternoon hours.

The Super Overdrive and Soul Food are kind of similar. I really like the Blues Driver. It seems to be the least compressed of the bunch and has more of a gritty drive whereas the Super Overdrive is smoother, more of a buzz.

Funny how the most basic and really cheapest one sounded the best to me: Super Overdrive. The Rat had the most clear push probably but was a lil more hot and hissing ( nothing a noise gate couldnt clear up however!) The Sabra Cadabra is great sounding but it has to be in the perfect setting and thats either acting as a preamp ( fx return only) or into an incredibly clean amp with a flat EQ.

It’s the arc flash that scares me.
No questions asked! Probably the single worst thing you can have happen and the fact the temperatures of one can go anywhere from 5,000 to 35,000 degrees Fahrenheit means you're survival is glib at best. The sun's surface temperature is about 9,932 degrees. And even if you survive a flash burn with a large enough rated suit ( cat 4, 100 calorie): you'll most likely die from the blast itself from blunt force trauma.

Pretty much horrifying when you think of it lol
