Transparent black.
I was told no. When the SG shows up that will be trans black and the Les Paul will be blackish with sparkles. Plus the Jackson I just picked up is black as is my SG standard.

This is not the 80's thread.
Or have you had a few and were trying to say: That's not Brad Paisley?
Yeah, no. But, it would be possible for someone so inclined to get a Paisley ink stamp and black ink pad and go to town before hitting it with clear. Now I'm getting ideas.Black and red paisley?

Here it is after drying overnight. I'm going to hit it with steel wool and see what that does. If it isn't enough I can go back to 320 grit. Then I will spray a clear test spot on the heel where the neck plate goes and see what it looks like.

I don't know if I like the color. I just sprayed a 4th coat of nitro in that square and it is still wet. I'm going to let it dry and bring it inside so I can take another look at it and maybe buff it a bit. Thoughts?
That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to bring it in and hit it with a deeper red mix.Opinion - More Red

Still wet here. If it is this color after spraying the nitro I will be happy.
I think you ruined it.
You‘re just gonna have to send it to me for “disposal”.
…..
Oh, wait, I’m not left-handed….
Doh!

I've always wondered: is the first h in naphtha silent, so it sounds like nap-tha? Or do you pronounce it like you have a lisp?Lightly wipe some naphtha over the wood, and you will probably get a good idea on how much the grain and color is going to pop. In other words... Wet your wood and watch it pop...![]()
