Marshall Origin 50C?

I am trying to do a trade for a Marshall Origin 50C. I have no experience with this model. From my research it sounds like they have a great Marshall clean sound but not a lot of gain. All the posts I find say they are great pedal platforms. I can’t find too many posts about problems with them. Anyone here have any real world experience?

I have a 20H -- yes awesome cleans -- it can get GRITTY but it needs to get LOUD to do so-- yes great pedal platform -- great MARSHALL tube goodness at an AFFORDABLE price point (I cant properly USE the 20 at home and get a good tone TBTH-- maybe if I got a power soak ---? -- or a torpedo thing to quiet it-- but frankly then what is the point?)

I love the vibe look and cleans of the Marshall -- but TBTH my Fender bassbreaker oo7 gets me better dirt and HIGH gain marshall tones at USEABLE home volumes much easier and with less mucking about.........for ME -- I know others love theirs -- I dont have a basement or garage or open space to really CRANK a 20 watt tube head ....
yes you can "cut" the output -- but even at .1 watt or .05 watt (what ever the lowest is) it is still loud but it loses a LOT of the OOMPH as well the lowest power setting kinda "neuters" it for lack of a less brutal description --

my Origin 20H is for sale FYI
Id consider a trade for a DSL 1 head
-- if anyone has one lying around they dont want ........ but really prefer cash ......

SOrry Kerry to open the yard sale discussion in your thread---

the Origins are lovely sounding/ looking amps just not for me

How to make real Klons sound honorably wrong I didn't think it was possible leave it to the Origin 50
I have owned 4 real Klons still have one love the sound not this example all you have to do is look at the filter supply of a Origin or DSL
then a real Marshall Super lead

I’m not looking for the Plexi sound. Looking for a clean Marshall sound. Playing jazzy blues, country blues, rockabilly, mostly with a hollow body.

Marshall Master Lead 12
amazing tones
affordable price (for British Made 30 year old Marshall Products)
no tubes to dick with or pay for

ANd to clarify
I "had" 3 Marshalls
Valvestate 8020 (now Residing with @SIx String Chef )
Origin 20 H -- now for sale
Marshall Master lead 12....... (not going ANYWHERE)

Well Kerry you know I have 2 of the 50H’s they are a great cleanish platform for any tones you could ask for, we all know I play primarily dirty, and they work for what I want to hear.
And with the correct pedals you could get a very convincing
Robin Trower, as far as problems,, I have not had a single issue since I purchased them.
@eSGEe to bad it’s not working for you but mine are the next best thing to a 1987xl, at a price point that still lets me eat like a king.
Cheers

The Origin isn't a very high gain amp, so it should be great for what you are looking for.

Some look down on them because of foreign manufacturing, but I can use any amp that I want, and I still prefer the Origin over Mike Morin Modded JCM800 2204...

not the amps fault-- its just more amp than I need -- indoors in a 10x12 office with animals that have hearing FAR beyond ours --

I CAN crank a Marshall origin 20 on full boil in my room ..... but--- I choose not too for numerous reasons -- there fore it just isnt "my thing" but it is a very nice thing
-- I had thought the lowered out put option would make it useable-- but as stated it alters the tone --

The PEavey Valveking 20 head aslo has a switch that cuts it to 1/2 watt ........ but it doesnt alter the "fullness" of the tone ..... so for me -- that is better :)

BUt I am unanimous in the fact the Marshall Origin is a GREAT AMP -- very nice cleans -- lovely Marshall tone and a perfect CANVAS for a pedal lovers CREATIVE DREAMS ;)

You can't beat the Fender Deluxe amp for Playing jazzy blues, country blues, rockabilly, mostly with a hollow body.

I still own a dozen Marshall's my favorite 1967 JTM 50 Black Flag the most wonderful cleans out of a Marshall amp.

I can get pretty close to the Fender Deluxe sound with my Quilter. I can't get the Marshall sound. Well I can with my Blackstar but it is one watt. It has spectacular cleans but no where near loud enough for live use. With everything cranked it could do a very small venue but not clean.

The Plexi is ridiculously clean and loud.
The only time a Plexi distorts is when you play it on 7 or higher.
The preamp is clean and the distortion comes from over-driving the output tubes.

The DSL has much more distortion in the preamp.
