Nice work getting them out.Was they just cheap screws ??

I am not sure because I did not install them, but it happens with these set screws, especially when installing in harder woods. Pilot holes substantially decrease the chance of this happening.

Not over tightened because the tuner was still loose. My pilot holes were not big enough because I was a fraidy cat...I didn't want to drill too deep....

Those screws got so excited about the guitar they live on getting fixed that their heads popped off.

Oh ok you had to install the tuners there Sp8ctre ? Ya some of those screws are super small and need a pilot hole drilled in or they will snap off. Been there done that lol.i use a piece of blue painters tape on the drill bit to mark the depth of the pilot hole.

Pilot holes for sure...and then I drive screws with lemon oil or wax....

Matter of fact i have a antique candle holder on my coffee table and if you could see the candle you would see were ive raked screws threw it hahahahaa,well hell ill get a pic,pics or it didnt happen right ??
