hiwatt by Amish Norwegians ?

The 6-1/4 inch speaker has to go.

I have 2 with 6.25 inch speakers (and orange and a vox) -- actually at VERY low volume for clean improvisational jazz to dismember by (thats my new band name by the way) --- they are suprisingly "functional"
run the same little ss amp into a 12" peavey Scheffield speaker and ......... HOLD ON BUBBA ........cause it sounds awesome -- wonder if I Can get "home level" HIWATT tones from the little Bulldog there ---- running to a larger speaker ????

ANYONE WANT TO DONATE A MICRO HIWATT for my testing???? oh -- come on you KNEW there would be a "hook" ;)

This amp is cleaner than my Hi-Watt 50 watt.
150 Watt SSS it does not distort on volume 10 master volume 10 for speakers used a pair of EVM12-S in mt 2 x 12 Mesa cabinet
I never built a cabinet for the 150 watt amp was not the sound I was looking for I'm not SRV I'm after my own sound.

Iron, don’t bring an iron to a gun job :rolf: . Too lazy to go take a pic of mine, but if ya got a heavy duty job, this is what ya need. This is what I learned on at around age 6.

My dad probably still has this same one! I think I started using it at 8ish. I really, really hated that thing. Waiting for it to warm up every time you pull the trigger. It was probably only a few seconds, but seemed like eternity to an impatient 8 year old.

I remember cranked Hiwatts sounding great back in the old days.
A friend used to have a Sound City half stack, cheap American clone of Hiwatt I think.

Haven't had much experience with the newer ones.

I used a 50W Hiwatt combo as backline amp once.
Didn't get a chance to really put it through its paces.
But it did pretty well as a pedal platform.
