I didn't like these so much when I tried them. The tension seemed uneven, string-to-string. Had the same problem with Snake Oil and Rotosound.
 
I like em all, but do have a couple of preferences.
NYXL's are the only string I will use on a Floyd.
And D'Addario Chromes are my go to for that sultry jazz feel, but I just ordered some DR flats to try.
They were cheaper.;)
Other than that, I usually get what's on sale or special.
 
BUnch of yo'calls in Ohio ......for a decade or so I dont even think they SOLD outside of Ohio -- I learned of them as they were the LOCAL string gettin place .....and cheap

AMAZON has picked them up ....(thats where I get them now) typically same or next day depending on order time.

ANd -- the last set included BOTH a wound AND a regular G --- nice touch since IVE BEEN WANTING TO TRY that ... and now I can :)
 
Oh, I was all over their website earlier and read a local Akron paper story. They need to advertise if they want to expand. And it sounds like they want to after relocating to new digs. I think the article said they were doing about 3 million in sales. That's not a playa'.

I think you are correct in suspecting they are rebranded D'Addario.

So, both have hexagonal cores for the wound strings, and both have color-coded ball ends (from elsewhere on the websites).

I'm suspicious.

As you can imagine, for manufacturers the benefits of increased tuning stability is a massive advantage, not to mention, the production process for round core strings is more time consuming so hex core strings have also helped improve manufacturer’s efficiency too.

But, both the EHX and D'Addario have color-coded ball ends.

I want to see if they use the same colors!
